Reading for MPhil leading to a PhD at the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Colombo. She is passionate about improving the service delivery system and networking for child development. Her research interests are Childhood disabilities and community development. Outside of her studies, she is keen on painting and admires nature.

Ms. H.M. Nirodhi Dasanayake

Reading a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Epigenetics at Centre for Research Development and Innovation, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She studies meditation and its molecular biological connection and has taken the lead in launching various programs to bring the benefits of meditation to the society. She is interested in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Epigenetics and Immunology.

Ms. W. Ishari Anuruddhika

A physiotherapist currently working at Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children. Her professional focus lies in early intervention for high-risk newborns, particularly in the context of neurodevelopmental disabilities and myopathy. Ms. Ishari is deeply passionate about enhancing the participation of children with special needs in various aspects of life. In pursuit of her commitment to improving the lives of children with special needs, Ms. Ishari is currently enrolled in an MPhil program at the Faculty of Medicine. Her research is centered on children’s participation and seeks to contribute to the field of pediatric healthcare and rehabilitation.

Ms. H.D. Buddhi Sasanka Perera

A physiotherapist by profession. She is reading for her MPhil at the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Colombo. Her focused research area is Health Professions Education. Also she has contributed to national level research projects as a qualitative research investigator.

Dr. Yasas D. Kolambage

Junior Treasurer

A medical graduate and a PhD candidate at the University of Colombo’s Faculty of Medicine. He also serves as a lecturer (probationary) at the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. His PhD project focuses on ‘Skeletal Dysplasias: Epidemiological & molecular genetic studies.’ Dr. Kolambage collaborates with international organizations like the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, International Skeletal Dysplasia Society, and Global Genomic Medicine Consortium. He actively involves in the G2MC flagship project promoting genomic medicine in lower-middle-income countries.

Ms. L.J. Udani Karunarathne

A Physiotherapist attached to National Hospital of Colombo, Sri Lanka is currently reading for her Ph.D. at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Colombo. She is an early-career investigator in the field of cardiorespiratory and autonomic function physiology. Her research interests include; Human Autonomic Function Testing, Heart-rate Variability, Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing, Spirometry, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and Post-COVID-19 management. She loves watching movies, and spending time with family in her leisure time

Dr. Hasanthi Rathnadiwakara

A veterinary surgeon by profession is currently reading for her Ph.D. at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Colombo. Her current interest is immunogenicity studies of anti-rabies vaccination. Other than that she has a special interest in laboratory animal science. Apart from her studies, she loves reading books during her leisure time

Ms. Omella Outschoorn

A clinical psychologist, with clinical experience obtained from a number of leading psychiatric units in the country. She is currently reading for her PhD degree in clinical psychology and is also a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) practitioner contributing to the development sector in Sri Lanka. While she is enthused in conducting research related to the fields of psychology, meditation, and MHPSS, her current research work involves exploring positive innate qualities in humans that may play a positive role in the face of psychological and physical distress
