A very rewarding & interesting experience

Studying at National Hospital of Colombo for two weeks have been a very rewarding and interesting experience. We got to meet a lot of patients with diseases, we do not see in our home country and learned a lot. The teachers were very kind and eager to teach. It was a great experience.

I’m very happy about the experience

It’s been very interesting and rewarding to take part of an exchange to Sri Lanka’s National Hospital via the University of Colombo. I have seen a variety of cases and many patients. I would never have met at home, in Sweden. The teachers have been great and overall I’m very happy about the experience.

gave us an extraordinary learning opportunity

During our 4 week elective in pediatrics and obs&gyn we learned what amazing clinical skills can be developed when other resources are more scarce and not taken for granted or wasted.  This gave us an extraordinary learning opportunity which was only amplified by the senior consultants' willingness to teach.

I am very grateful for this unique experience

During the week I spent at the Department of Parasitology, I had lectures on the life cycles of the parasites, the clinical presentation, diagnostic, treatment, and prevention followed by practical sessions. I got a perfect overview about the most important parasites including their diseases and I am very grateful for this unique experience!’
