Charles River Prize 2022 – Vidya Nidhi Professor M. Gunatilake – Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo
Prof. Mangala Gunatilake received the prestigious Charles River Prize in Laboratory Animal Science and Medicine of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science from the President of the AALAS at the 73rd Annual Meeting of AALAS at the International Convention Centre in Louisville, KY, USA. The Charles River Prize has been awarded since 1978 to a veterinarian in recognition of his/her outstanding contributions to laboratory animal science and medicine. Mangala is the first South Asian and the 2nd in the Asian region to have received this prestigious award.
