Centre for Health Systems Policy and Innovation
Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo
Established in 2023 through a collaborative initiative of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Centre for Health Systems Policy and Innovation serves as a national resource centre and think tank dedicated to supporting health sector reforms in Sri Lanka.
The Centre brings together policy experts, researchers, and practitioners to advance evidence-informed health policy and system-wide transformation. Its work focuses on strengthening primary health care, fostering digital innovation, and promoting the use of data-driven insights to improve population health outcomes.
Through strategic partnerships and multidisciplinary collaboration, the Centre aims to bridge the gap between research, policy, and practice — enabling the development of resilient, equitable, and sustainable health systems for Sri Lanka and the region.
