Contribution to MBBS

The Department of Medical Education plays a significant role in coordinating, evaluating, and enhancing the MBBS program. Department academic staff members also assume crucial responsibilities within various units that support the curriculum. These units encompass the Curriculum Development and Evaluation Committee, the Quality Assurance Cell, the Curriculum Implementation Unit, as well as the Stream and Module Committees.

Elective Programme

The department offers elective opportunities in specific subject areas on a short-term basis through overseas elective program.

The academic staff of the department actively participates in the postgraduate teaching activities across multiple disciplines, with their primary commitment being to instruct in the Certificate, Diploma, and MD programs in Medical Education at the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine. They possess expertise in various areas, including assessment, curriculum development and evaluation, teaching and learning methods, and educational research, which they proficiently convey to their students.
