Contribution to MBBS

The Department of surgery involves in following academic tasks under MBBS undergraduate program.

  • Lectures and tutorials from second year onward
  • Clinical teaching in the final year
  • Elective appointments up to 1 month for overseas students

Elective Programme

The department provides elective opportunities for specific subject areas on short term basis under oversees elective program.

Postgraduate Programs

The department contributes following activities under the postgraduate curricular,

  • Registrar training in General, Vascular, Paediatric and GI Surgery
  • Senior Registrar training in General, Vascular & Transplant, Paediatric and GI Surgery
  • Doctor of Medicine Degree (by thesis) in Colorectal and Vascular Surgery
