CHSPI | PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES

The purpose of the Center for Health Systems Policy and Innovation (CHSPI) is to provide practical and impactful support to build back better, more resilient PHC-centered health systems which can deliver integrated, evidence-based, people-centered high-impact and high quality health services with financial protection, holistic care in everyday environments to address people’s needs and equity-based programming to reach the most underserved.

Objectives

Research to Policy to Practice
Strengthening research, analytical studies and documentation activities at country level with a particular emphasis on generating evidence to inform PHC-oriented UHC policies, strategic actions and monitoring and evaluation.

Capacity Development
Developing capacities to improve evidence-based policy and decision-making, planning, budgeting, implementation, management, and monitoring for PHC-centered resilient health systems. This may include the conduct of postgraduate training, knowledge workshops, study tours/fellowships etc.

Policy Dialogue
Creating platforms to increase dialogue between key stakeholders for generation and dissemination of knowledge, exchange of experiences and lessons learnt/best practices and for building consensus around health sector reforms.
